Review Description:

              Wide or Tele, My HX1 is the best. This marvel joined me from Delhi and was introduced by my photographer friend. It was his reviews that helped me choose this one. The most important feature that attracted me is its flexibility with a 20x optical zoom G lens ranging from 28mm wide angle to 560mm telephoto. The high end 9.1MP and 3.0-inch LCD, typical menu navigation controls and its ultra zoom capacities altogether keep it at the top on the list. The Exmore CMOS sensor, shares a lot of similarities to Sony’s Alpha series DSLRs. It also comes with Sony's BIONZ processor, one that allows the camera to shoot up to 10fps at full resolution. Comparing to the Carl Zeus lenses which made Sony a big hit, this one comes with a Sony-developed G class lens and delivers a focal range of 28-560mm in 35mm (Y? CZ’s does not have a lens with this spec is it? I don’t know we have to find out the reason.). The camera measures W x H x D: 114.5mm x 82.8mm x 91.8mm (4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ x 3 5/8″) and weighs Approx 500gms. The manufacturer has taken care of the grip and holds of the camera and even provides a rubberized grip to accommodate right handed photographers. This makes the camera a perfect fit in hand. The LCD is made more user-friendly giving it a tilt angle movement pivoting over 180°. The built-in automatic pop up flash is placed atop the Sony moniker but the absence of an external flash hood keeps it a step behind the SLRs. It also features a 1080p HD movie capture at a speed of 30 frames per second (fps) with an on board microphone for a neat and descent HDMI output. Having said all this, the real things that make this camera my special are the most debated and highly marketed slogans related to this camera's functionality, viz, 'Panorama sweep' and 'Handheld twilight' capture modes. 'Panorama sweep' is a capture mode which lets you literally sweep the camera by simply pressing the shutter release and sweeping it. The HX1's handheld twilight capture also works similarly capturing six images in one burst and finally mixing them selecting the correctly exposed areas from each for the real output image. I think that Sony have come up with a camera surpassing many DSLR Cameras around in terms of features and technology. I strongly recommend this to be a camera worth considering.
